Sotomayored

Text

Ezra Klein’s got it right, Obama won’t see any problems with his nomination of Sonia Sotomayor, mostly because her last name can’t be turned into a verb.

The last nominee to actually be defeated — Harriett Miers was withdrawn, remember, and withdrawn due to conservative unrest — was Robert Bork.
A quick Google gets me here:
William Safire defines “to bork” by reference “to the way Democrats savaged Ronald Reagan’s nominee, the Appeals Court judge Robert H. Bork…
Nothing to worry about.

A great selection of candid photos from The New York Times Magazine of the chief officials set to take office in Barack Obama’s administration. Shot under very bright lights on a white background, each shows subtle nuances in expression and movement. Many remind me of the photos from my favorite book that I don’t own, “Wisdom.”

As I’m sure you expected, you will most likely have to endure a final few days of Obama propaganda.
Earlier today, I got a chance to stop in at Manifest Hope: DC. Alas, I only had the phone to take pictures with, and since NOTCOT’s shots are pretty much always going to beat whatever I venture to take, click above to see some of the amazing stuff on display for the weekend in Georgetown.
